EXHIBITION ART AND CRAFTSMANSHIP IN THE AGE OF THE DACIAN KINGDOM

The exhibition Art and Craftsmanship in the Age of the Dacian Kingdom. Pottery is due to open at the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilizations at 11 AM on Friday, April 15th, 2011.
By choosing this theme, the exhibition intends to embark on an excursion into the Dacian civilization and, through a collection of original artifacts and replicas, to present the manufacturing of pottery and the wide range of using pottery by our ancestors. In the three exhibition rooms, visitors will see pottery used in the Dacian kitchen, for lighting, storing water, grains, etc.; they will also find out about how these objects were manufactured.
During the exhibition, we are going to organize practical activities during which groups of students from schools throughout the county will learn how Dacian pottery clay used to be modeled. The pots thus made will be exhibited.
On April 15th, admission will be free for all the children and the people accompanying them because during the period from 11th to 16th April, the Museum is the partner of the Association Zibo Help in the national program “Family Week, TV-Free Week.”
The exhibition can be visited between 10 AM – 6 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, from April 15th to May 15th, 2011
