BIODIVERSITY AND GEODIVERSITY IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE NATURAL HABITATS IN THE LAND OF HATEG

     The exhibition presents the diversity of the flora, fauna and paleofauna which characterise the natural habitats of the Land of Hateg, some of these zones being designated as natural protected areas, known worldwide.
     Based on the osteological material preserved on the collections of the museum in Deva, as well as using modern photos are provided a series of attractive information regarding the small (dwarf) dinosaurs and other vertebrates which lived on the “Hateg Island” some 65 milion years ago.
     The exhibition is opened from May to September 2009, at the Museum of Archaeology at Sarmizegetusa. The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for May 21, 2009, 11.00 a.m.
