THE SYMPOSIUM THE ROMANS ASIDE US The Hunedoara County Council and the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilisation organise in the framework of the Sarmizegetusa Museum of Archaeolgy the temporary exhibition entitled THE ROMANS ASIDE US. The main exhibits on this occasion are a series of exceptional archaeological finds, uncovered especially throughout the archaeological excavations from Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa. The main categories of objects presented in the framework of this exhibition are: The military equipment and certain reconstructions of Roman weapons; Certain statues made of marble or bronze, as well as votive reliefs, namely specific objects depicting the spiritual life of the capital of the Roman province of Dacia and of the entire province; Adornment and clothing objects, common and luxury pottery, oil lamps etc. for outlinig the main features of the daylife of the Romans. The exhibition can be daily visited, from September 18 to November 29, 2009, between 9.00 a.m. and 17.00 p.m., except Mondays Deva, September 18, 2009
