    The museum was opened in 1987, starting from the Safian private collection. Nowadays in here are preserved ethnographic and folk art items and objects characteristic for the Land of Zarand. During the years the collections were enriched constantly, especially throughout private donations, offering varied objects like glass icons, photos, correspondence etc. Also a local artist, Marcel Olinescu, former professor at the Highschool in Brad donated a valuable collection of graphic art.
