THE    MUSEUM    HOUSE    OF    AVRAM    IANCU

    This memorial house was opened in 2002, being built on the place of the old house were Avram Iancu died on September 10, 1872. The exhibition is organised in two halls: the first one presents —throughout documents, stamps, historical photographs— the role played by the great Romanian hero during the revolution from 1848–1849; on the second room is shown the inner arrangement of a “mot” (peasant living in the upper part of the Apuseni Mountains) house, with furniture, various objects used in the household, cloths and weavers from the Baia de Crit area.
